Word of Wisdom:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 KJV
What is Wisdom? Wisdom is the practical ability to live life well from God’s perspective. It is the right application of knowledge and truth to honor God.
In James 3:17, it says - But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Growing in spiritual wisdom happens when we use our knowledge of God to make right decisions about how we should act, live, and talk as representatives of Christ. It’s as we get to know God better that we grow in His wisdom and are equipped with the knowledge we need to live abundant lives that honor Him. In this way, wisdom comes from our relationship with God.
Nobody needs to lack wisdom because God offers it freely through a relationship with Him. As we seek Him and His wisdom, He gives us opportunities to practice it and grow in our trust of Him. And as we trust Him with our choices, we begin to see wisdom flourish in our lives.
So let’s cultivate wisdom in our lives. The first step is to ask God for help. When we come humbly to God and admit our need for Him, He will generously give us all the wisdom we need.
We’re reading Proverbs 12 & James 1. God bless - Seek God’s Wisdom and have a wonderful day!
